Cloud service and impact on MPLS and WAN technology

Taavi MaddoxBy Taavi MaddoxJuly 4, 2020No Comments3 Mins Read

Hari-day hosting data and applications in one company data center are numbered, if not long lost. At present, applications and data are often distributed in various locations and / or in the cloud. Not only can you have a private, public, partner, and telco data center with SaaS and the public internet involved, you also have end users who access all applications and data from various branch offices, home offices and cellular devices. To complicate further problems, your end users can be spread throughout the world. Cloud services have changed the company area network company forever, requiring related technologies such as MPLS and WAN optimization to evolve (1).

Cloud Computing Strain Wan

While cloud computing makes it possible to connect to applications and data from almost all computers or devices, a mixture of traffic and complexity can quickly flood traditional Wans (1). In the past that is not too far away, workers use the internet to access e-mail and search the web. They are not necessarily online without stopping. Today, most of them. They access applications in Cloud than on their hard drives or local servers. They produce and store data in the cloud. They collaborate with each other using Cloud-based tools. They talked on the phone using VoIP. They interact with each other, customers, and partners using social media. They held a virtual meeting in the cloud. They watch videos on YouTube. They connect their smart phones and tablets to WAN too. No wonder Wan struggled to follow him.

According to blog posts by Aryaka, the WAN optimization provider, “the deployment of the tip to the end of the private link to connect the office or full deployment in various offices allowed for a secure and guaranteed network throughout the geography and present the company well from the 1990s along the way to the beginning 2010 (2). “

At present, Cloud services, telepresence, integrated communication, virtualization, IT consolidation, hybrid networks, and public internet are new norms. However, increasing dependence on all the above requires substantial bandwidth improvements. Network congestion can quickly affect productivity. If all your work is in the cloud, but you cannot access it in an efficient way, you are in a big problem.

Overcoming MPLS Disadvantages

Even though MPL has a long term and is still used today, MPLS technology shows age. In addition, it is expensive and time consuming to implement, and it struggles when a large ocean must be crossed.

The Aryaka Blog Post suggests the following, “The business world requires a new network to unite the company, to enable improved application performance and data access, to improve communication and collaboration, to bring products to market faster and increase income (2).”

Optimizing WAN as a service discusses the lack of MPLS, allowing companies to use the global network of Aryaka for WAN performance immediately. Although it can take months to add bandwidth through MPLS upgrades, switching to Wan Aryaka’s optimization as the service only takes a few minutes. This is a solution built for current bandwidth intensive cloud services.
